High-speed rail has become China's national business card, driving the development of its related upstream and downstream industrial chain. China's Zhongwang and other aluminium enterprises have ushered in a new opportunity for the development of the processing industry of aluminium profiles for transportation, and their products have also taken China's high-speed rail to the world.
By the end of 2017, the operating mileage of National Railways has reached 127,000 kilometers, of which 25,000 kilometers are high-speed railways, accounting for nearly 70% of the world's total high-speed railways. China's railways have formed a large number of technological innovations with independent intellectual property rights. High-speed railways, speed-up of existing railways, plateau railways, alpine railways, heavy-haul railways and other technologies have reached the world's advanced level.
As the world's leading enterprise in the field of aluminium processing, Zhongwang is currently one of the few domestic enterprises that can develop and manufacture aluminium extrusion products of high-speed railway car body with speeds ranging from 300 km/h, 350 km/h to 400 km/h. Some large-section products, such as wide plates of high-speed railway car head, can only be produced by two or three domestic enterprises, such as Zhongwang. Zhongwang is also one of the important suppliers of Fuxing aluminium profiles, which was officially launched in September last year. It provides deep processing products for dozens of Fuxing aluminium profiles.
"Fuxing number has very high requirements for the quality of aluminium materials, especially for the performance and use of profiles." According to Cai Hunan, deputy general manager of Zhongwang, the standardized aluminium profiles of EMUs manufactured by Zhongwang have passed the third-party high-specification testing, and the testing standards are more stringent than European standards.
Because of its strong technological innovation ability and manufacturing capacity, Zhongwang's products have been greatly improved in quality while reducing production costs, thus gaining a larger market share in domestic high-speed railway and rail transit fields. At present, Zhongwang produces aluminium alloy profiles for six main engine factories of China Zhongche, and the overseas cooperation with China Zhongche is increasing year by year. The railway vehicles in Tehran, Izmir, Turkey, Macedonia and Anbang, Malaysia have the image of "Zhongwang aluminium".
According to incomplete statistics, China has cooperated with more than 40 countries and regions in the "going to sea" project of China's high-speed rail, with technical equipment covering more than 100 countries and regions in Asia, Europe, the United States and Africa. With the continuous development of the "one belt and one way" strategy and the accelerated release of market potential in the field of rail transport brought about by "infrastructure priority", the application prospect of aluminum alloys in transportation and other fields is wider. In an interview with the media, Lu Changqing, chairman of Zhongwang, said that Zhongwang will speed up the research and development of high-value-added products such as rail transit and capacity building, with excellent products and technologies, promote China's high-speed rail to a higher level, and occupy the strategic height of the world's high-speed rail development.
