    Recently, Zhongwang, China, jointly with FAW, successfully completed the road test of the "all-aluminum body + all-aluminum chassis" bus, which has become a masterpiece of the cooperation between automobile enterprises and aluminium enterprises in the research and development of new energy buses. It is reported that the bus overcomes many design difficulties in the design of all-aluminium chassis and becomes a real all-aluminium bus.

    Data show that for every 10% reduction in body weight, fuel will be saved by 5% - 7%. In addition to all-aluminium body, the city bus developed by Zhongwang and FAW in China has also designed and developed all-aluminium chassis, which has become the first domestic bus with all-aluminium body and all-aluminium chassis structure. The head of Zhongwang Project in China said that in addition to meeting the same safety targets for steel cars, the body frame of the project lost more than 1200 kg, accounting for 10.4% of the total vehicle weight. The success of this project not only makes up for the gap in the application of aluminium alloy in bus chassis, but also promotes the further lightening of bus.
